Weight Loss Wednesday: Setting Goals

My Progress:
New weight:133  (up 1 pound from 2 weeks ago, but I had the stomach flu a couple weeks ago and lost a bunch of weight since I wasn’t eating. So gaining 1 lb really isn’t bad!)
Goal weight:117
Total lost: 11 lbs

Setting some goals to your weight loss or getting fit journey is important! You need to know where you want to go, what you want to do, and how to accomplish it. Your goals should be small and accomplishable. For example, you don’t want to just say I want to lose 80 lbs, because that goal seems to far out and not reachable when you are just starting out.

Set small goals like: eating 1 or 2 more vegetables a day, work out 1 more day a week than usual, eat sweets only 4 times a week. Once you accomplish these goals then move on to knew goals. Its not just about how much weight you need to lose but focusing on what you can do now.

Right now my goal is to train to run a 5k (I’m a terrible runner). I am doing a couch to 5k plan and its all about small goals and working up to the bigger goal of running a 5k. My friend has already got me to agree to do a 5k in May because it for a local animal shelter (she’s so sneaky she knew I couldn’t pass up a run for animals)

Another goal or mine is to try to eat one or less sweets each day and eliminate dairy as much as possible in my diet (because of an allergy)

What are some of your weight loss or getting fit goals?
