Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Epsom salts
  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • 2 tbs dried flowers or herbs optional
  • 10 drops essential oils I like to add eucalyptus and lavender

Instructions

  • In a bowl, add Epsom salts and baking soda.Sprinkle in dried herbs and flowers.
  • Add in 5-10 drops of your favorite essential oils, such as lavender, spearmint, orange, etc (see above for recommendations).
  • Mix together and store until ready to use.

To Use:

  • Add warm water to a bath or foot tub.
  • Pour a few scoopfuls of the herbal foot soak into the warm water and allow to dissolve.
  • To help remove dead skin, you can also add a couple of tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to the water soak mixture.
  • Place feet into the warm water soak and allow the salts and herbs to work for 20-30 minutes.
  • After soaking, it's a great time to use a pumice stone and a foot scrub to make your feet incredibly soft.
  • Dry feet and apply your favorite moisturizer.

Notes

You can use any combination of your favorite essential oils. Chamomile, lavender, wild orange, and eucalyptus are great to help you relax. A drop or two of peppermint or spearmint can add an invigorating scent and help achy feet.
