Ingredients
1/2
cup
butter
softened
3
tablespoons
honey
preferably local
1
pinch
salt
omit if you use salted butter
Instructions
Add the softened room temperature butter and honey to a mixing bowl or a bowl of a stand mixer with a whisk attachment.
Using a electric hand mixer or stand mixer, beat the mixture on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until light, fluffy, and fully combined.
Transfer to a serving dish or storage container. Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
Notes
Make sure your butter is fully softened before mixing. Cold butter will not whip properly.
Start with less honey and add more to taste. I found 3 tablespoons to be the perfect amount of sweetness.
For an extra fluffy texture, whip the butter a minute longer than you think it needs.
If storing in the refrigerator, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving.
