Ingredients

  • 1 lb tomatoes ripe
  • 1 burrata ball
  • 1 tbs extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbs balsamic vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • handful fresh basil

Instructions

  • Begin by washing the tomatoes under cool water.
  • After patting them dry gently with a clean kitchen towel or air dry, cut them into evenly sized slices or chunks, depending on your preference.
  • Remove the fresh burrata cheese from its packaging and place it on a cutting board.
  • Using a sharp knife, carefully slice the burrata into smaller pieces, ensuring each portion will be easy to enjoy.
  • On a serving platter, arrange the tomato slices or chunks, and then gently place the burrata on top.
  • Top with fresh basil leaves.
  • Add a generous drizzle of olive oil and balsamic vinegar to the top of the tomatoes and cheese.
  • Sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Notes

  • Make sure to choose juicy, ripe tomatoes for your salad.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment with different types of tomatoes.
  • Be generous with the basil.
  • Don't skimp on the olive oil. A high-quality extra virgin olive oil will bring richness and depth to the dish.
