7 Days to a Cleaner House

Not going to lie I am not the cleanest or most organized in the world. My husband is the clean one. But I love a clean house it makes me feel wonderful. So I am going to spend the next 7 days to get my house in shape and keep it that way! Now my house is not super messy to begin with. So this plan is to keep the house cleaning up all week so it looks nice. If your house is a little messier then spend a couple extra days straightening it up and de-cluttering it. Also, if you have a lot of laundry try to do one  load per day. We only do about 3 or 4 a week so I split it up and do a load every other day.

Mondays: Vacuum-10 minutes, straightening up in the morning- 5 minutes, straightening up at night/dishes- 5-10 minutes

Tuesdays: Dust-5-10 minutes, straightening up in the morning- 5 minutes, straightening up at night/dishes- 5-10 minutes

Wednesdays: Clean bathrooms- 10 minutes, straightening up in the morning- 5 minutes, straightening up at night/dishes- 5-10 minutes

Thursdays: Mop floors-10 minutes, straightening up in the morning- 5 minutes, straightening up at night/dishes- 5 minutes

Fridays: Vacuum- 10 minutes straightening up in the morning- 5 minutes, straightening up at night/dishes- 5 minutes

Saturdays and Sundays: These days are meant to do catch up cleaning or do some extra cleaning

Straightening up can be just picking up things laying around the house, sweeping, wiping down the counters, making the bed, or any other little things that take only a minute or so!

Do you have a cleaning schedule? How does it work for you?

  1. Great schedule! I feel like I am constantly trying to keep the house clean, or less cluttered is probably a better term. When I had my first babe I tried to keep everything nice and neat and clean. By the time the second came along I lost all hope of ever having a “company ready” home. I figure when they are older it will be easier 🙂 But, for now I am just on the crazy ride of toddler/pre-schooler life 🙂

  2. Sounds like a good plan! Indeed, a clean house can make you feel wonderful and somewhat light. After all the cleaning and making the house uncluttered, it will surely feel like your house can breathe. And a cleaning schedule definitely helps you to keep track on your daily cleaning activities.

  3. Hmm it appears like your blog ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your
blog. I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any suggestions for newbie blog writers? I’d definitely
    appreciate it.
